To make an appointment with a PAL, you need to:
- choose your service category (which set of courses you would like to get assisted on) and specific service (the specific course, such as ETV1/ type of assistance), after which you can:
- select a specific PAL (which allows you to schedule an appointment when that PAL is available).
- or select “any employee”, which presents you with more options when choosing a time slot. The system will then assign an available PAL to you.
- upload the draft you would like to discuss with the PAL (using the upload link on the bottom half of this page),
- make sure to upload the most recent version of your draft so your PAL can properly prepare themselves for your session (and doesn’t have to work with outdated information).
- If you don’t have a draft to work with (yet), or your draft consists of a couple of loose ideas/ bullet points, that’s okay too, we can talk about any kind of idea you have.
Note: we do not accept “blank submissions”, i.e. file submissions without a prior appointment.
Also note: there is a buffer of 36 hours between the time when you are booking and the time when you can see a PAL.
For example, if you are looking to schedule an appointment at 9PM on Wednesday, the earliest available moment you will be able to schedule is 9AM on Friday. This is done so the PALs have time to look at your draft before the session. If you absolutely wish to schedule an appointment within the 36 hour time span, contact your preferred mentor directly and ask if they are available at your preferred time. It is then up to that PAL’s discretion whether or not they accept the session at that time.
Scheduling a Session
Please schedule an appointment using the form below.
Take note:
Please complete the entire booking process to ensure your appointment is registered.
If you complete the entire process, you should see a message confirming your booking is complete, and you should receive an e-mail. If you did not receive a confirmation e-mail, please go through the booking process again to ensure your appointment has been registered correctly. E-mails may take a few minutes to arrive.
Upload Your Draft
Before uploading, please take note:
- We accept Word files (.doc/.docx), OpenOffice documents (.odt/.ott) and PDF files.
- Files submitted should not be larger than 50mb.
- Please include your name in the file name. Preferably follow the course file name format as explained in the guidelines.
- PALs will not be able to prepare any support for files submitted late (i.e. around 24 hours before the mentoring session).
- Your file will be used by PALs to prepare your mentoring session. It will not be shared with third parties. It will not be used for any purpose other than preparing the session without your prior written consent.
Files can be submitted through this link.
